The market place is increasingly demanding that businesses demonstrate a commitment to fair employment practices. Moreover many in the community want to support minority certified companies and women owned businesses. Our Diversity Certification Seal is evidence to prospective clients that your business has been certified as a place of fair employment or as an employer with high diversity in your company. This will help open doors to more business opportunities as a result of your workplace staffing decisions that led to you being awarded the Diversity Seal. A business certified by DCS will be reported to other businesses looking to partner with employers committed to diversity.
 
Diversity Certification Seal
By demonstrating equality of opportunity to women, minorities, and people with disabilities, your business qualifies as a diverse business and you will receive our Diversity Certification Seal to place on your website and marketing materials. As a diverse business, you can’t make a more important investment. We charge a processing fee of $75 to submit and review your application. This seal certifies that your business is 51% or more owned by one or more "Diverse Individuals" or is comprised of 75% or more "Diverse Individuals" as summarized below:
  • "Black Americans" (persons having origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa)
  • "Hispanic Americans" (persons of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Dominican, Central or South American, or other Spanish or Portuguese culture or origin)
  • "Native Americans" (persons who are American Indians, Eskimos, Aleuts, or native Hawaiians)
  • "Asian-Pacific Americans" (persons whose origins are from Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea, Burma (Myanmar), Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia (Kampuchea), Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brunei, Samoa, Guam, the U.S. trust territories of the pacific islands (Republic of Palau), the Commonwealth of the northern Marianas islands, Macao, Fiji, Tonga, Kiribati, Juvalu, Nauru, Federated states of Micronesia, or Hong Kong)
  • "Subcontinent Asian Americans" (persons whose origins are from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, the Maldives islands, Nepal or Sri Lanka)
  • "Women"
  • "Physical or Mental Disability" (persons having a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, a record of such impairment, or being regarded as having such impairment)
